I didn't initially intend to make one of these this year, but since it seems it's now a thing for everyone else to try to make them, I might as well at least offer up "the original" for those with taste :)
Actually don't hate this. Or hate myself for doing it. Since I actually have a working relationship with the Penguins, I wouldn't consider using a part of their graphic identity in a for-profit design. Buuuut, since it's the Caps... fair game?

Heh, Sorry for a lack of progress updates this one. For this year's design, I opted to use a lot more color outlines for some of the interior details. Lips, patches, eyes, and jersey stitching outlines were all treated with color. That simple tweak really makes this one stand out from previous years.
I always underestimate how long the goalie takes to render.
One down, 24 to go. Prints and maybe shirts should be available before Christmas.
Because of an issue with an order of shipping supplies going missing, I had a couple extra days to work on this. I decided to shift the back row to make room for Dupuis and the cup.
Archer deadlines this week caused me to lose a few hours of work on the print image. I should be able to finish illustration tomorrow evening.
I also had an issue with mailing supplies - 2 crates of shipping tubes and a box of stay-flat mailers were shipped and marked as delivered but never arrived. I am suppose to get a call Monday regarding what ULINE can do for me. As of now, our ship date looks to now be on target for Wednesday December 14th. Items will be shipped 2 day priority.
